Synopsis

Sixty-five years after independence, India is riding on the wave of globalization. Metropolitan cities in India are shining with malls, multiplexes, IT parks, and mega constructions, creating a vast economic disparity and poverty on the other hand. Due to long-term negligence towards the rural sector, rural folks are forced to migrate to cities to survive and obviously, streets and footpaths become their shelter. This documentary is an attempt to take a look at the lives of these homeless people, their struggle to survive, and their daily routine. Being undocumented makes them non-existent to the government. There are 78 million homeless people in India. The documentary raises a question about what will happen to them with staggering growth of the metros.
